Chelsea Flower Show inspires the ‘Belgravia in Bloom’ festival24 Apr 17
One of the best things about the RHS Chelsea Flower Show , which is one of the main events of Sloaney Season, is that it inspires the rest of London to embrace a beautiful floral theme during the month of May. So many streets, shops and restaurants give a nod to Chelsea by incorporating bright floral displays, which means the city looks fabulous. The ‘Belgravia in Bloom’ festival has been organised to run in conjunction with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the second year running. It was a huge success last year and brought a wealth of colour and celebration to the area.
The six-day floral festival will run from 22nd-27th May and coincide with the renowned Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show in central London. This year will include inspiring installations, breath-taking floral displays and events that all encompass the new theme, Children’s Books.
Retailers such as Rococo Chocolate are already signed up to create a display within their store front inspired by renowned children’s book James and the Giant Peach. The Halkin hotel will also be drawing inspiration for their display from the adventures of Paddington Bear and many more local businesses will be partaking. A stroll through Belgravia towards the second part of May is definitely a must.
