The Festival of Speed offers motor enthusiasts an unrivalled opportunity to get close to the action, and to meet the great champions who gather at Goodwood each summer.
What to expect at The Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place at Goodwood Estate and is motorsport’s ultimate summer garden party. It is billed as an intoxicating celebration of the world’s most glamorous sport. You can get close to the cars and bikes as they blast up the Hillclimb track. There is unrestricted access to the machines and the drivers who made them famous.
The festival includes a number of displays using a playground of jumps where pedal and petrol powered skills will be showcased in front of packed audiences. Meanwhile the Sky Sports F1 Paddock is the place to be if you want to get within inches of the latest F1 cars from the top teams around the world.
Stars from the motorsports world such as Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and 1997 F1 World Champion Damon Hill attend. Celebrities such as Geri Horner, Nicole Scherzinger and Denise Van Outen are often in the crowd.
Event hotspots and hospitality
The Clark Pavilion is a new hospitality area for 2017 and provides a beautiful indoor and outdoor setting from which to enjoy delicious food and drink whilst getting an up-close view of all the action. You will have trackside viewing at the most dramatic corner on the Hillclimb course. There are many areas you can enjoy for hospitality and these include The Gurney Pavilion. This occupies one of the best viewing locations on the Hillclimb track and includes a four course lunch, champagne reception and afternoon tea.
