Historically HRH Prince William and Prince Harry have played in this match raising money for their charities such as Centre Point, Child Bereavement, Fields in Trust and many more. Cirencester Park Polo Club is located on the Bathurst Estate near to where they grew up at Highgrove.

What to expect at Jerudong Park Royal Charity Polo Event

Many people attend to see HRH Prince William and Prince Harry in action on the polo field along with polo’s purest. The gates traditionally open at around 10am for those bringing a picnic. Meanwhile, hospitality guests will enjoy a drinks reception at noon

before sitting down at 1pm. The match historically begins at 3pm and the presentations take place afterwards with both Princes present with their teams. Afternoon tea concludes the day.

Famous faces

London’s socialites make the trip out of town to attend but the main famous faces will be members of the Royal Family. HRH Prince William, Prince Harry. The Duchess of Cambridge has been seen to support with her children. Socialites have included Amber le Bbon, The Marquess of Blandford George Spencer Churchill, Yasmin Mills, Charlie Casely Hayford and June Sarpong.

Event hotspots and hospitality

The Members’ Enclosure is the place to be. However, you can still get a good glimpse of the sport and the Princes if you watch the pony lines. Hospitality provides excellent views of the action and you can enjoy a champagne reception and long lunch.

Did you know

In the 1920s, the Prince of Wales, later Edward VIII, played Polo at Cirencester Park, he was the first member of the Royal family to do so. The Duke of Edinburgh played in many tournaments during the 1960s and the present Prince of Wales was a participant in tournament Polo and many charity matches up to his recent retirement from the game.

Prince William and Prince Harry are expected to play in charity games at Cirencester this season.
