The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest of the four major championships in professional golf. It is the only 'major' outside the United States.

What to expect at The Open

The Open is currently the third golf major of the year and takes place between the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. This year it will happen at Carnoustie. The weekly ticket will allow you to see the world’s greatest players across 8 days of golf’s most prestigious Championship but there are also daily tickets available too.

Famous faces

Famous faces from the world of golf will be spotted playing and supporting. Lindsey Vonn has also attended, and Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael-Douglas are among high-profile supporters of the sport.

Since 1860, The Open has been played over some of the world’s most cherished links courses and has produced a remarkable legacy of great champions. It is the oldest championship in professional golf.

The Claret Jug – which is the prize at The Open – was first presented in 1873 and this is one of the most iconic trophies in all of sport.
