Theme and prizes unveiled for Ladies Day at Cheltenham Festival

Add a splash of colour to your Cheltenham outfit and you could be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes...

The Festival at Cheltenham is among the most prestigious horse racing fixtures on the calendar and is the perfect start to Sloaney Season. Despite the often chilly weather, there is plenty of glamour to match the sporting splendor.

Cheltenham Ladies Day takes places on the Wednesday of The Festival (14th of March) and, this year, it is all about bringing a splash of colour to Cheltenham Racecourse with the #ColourMeMarch competition.

Ladies can be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes, including a brand new MINI ONE CAR from W.O. Lewis and Sytner Solihull. So, whether you want to show off your best boots, parade your finest hat or give a nod to your favourite horse’s colours, get ready to #ColourMeMarch. Remember, the weather can mean that will be a chilly day of racing. With this in mind, ladies would be well advised to make the most of stylish, colourful winter wear, rather than braving a summer outfit and risking getting too cold. Tweed, fur, elegant boots and trilby hats are often spotted on racegoers. However, don’t forget that the theme demands an injection of spring colour!

Miss England will be present for Cheltenham Ladies Day

The Cheltenham Ladies Day ambassador is keen equestrian, model and Miss England 2017, Stephanie Hill (pictured). Finalists will be selected from judges that will be roaming the crowds or you can enter yourself in the Ladies day marquee.  Winners will be selected at random to win one of the many prizes and announced on the big screen overlooking the parade ring.

Other prizes that will be won on the day include a £2000 necklace from Boodles, an overnight stay at The Lygon Arms in Broadway with dinner, cocktails, breakfast and spa treatment, an Yvette Jelfs made to order hat worth £700 and more.
