Make your own hat or fascinator for The Season

Get a one-of-a-kind design by making your own hat or fascinator for this year's big events...

With many events during Sloaney Season stipulating a formal dress code, it is the perfect opportunity to showcase a stylish hat or fascinator. The art of millinery is as popular as ever. One-of-a-kind items that stand out from the crowd are particularly desirable and one way of achieving this is to make your own head piece.

Anne Tomlin and Ellie Vallerini teach short courses at West Dean’s estate in West Sussex to help you embrace your creative side. Leading weekend workshops, they coach students of all crafting abilities through the art of couture millinery. Students learn how to construct and arrange them into their own hat or hair adornment.

If you fancy giving it a go and trying to make your own hat for The Season, perhaps gather some friends together and head along to one of the courses. It will be a fun day out and you can leave with a design that you can wear to an occasion such as Royal Ascot or Henley.
